Big Changes Are Coming to Feline Good Cafe

By Teagan Serink, Mikayla Dancy

Exciting news! Feline Good Café just got acquired by HappyCo Foods. While this is certainly a big change, we’re excited about entering a new era with our café (and perhaps finally being able to pay off our founders’ student loans 🫤).

About HappyCo

HappyCo Foods is a food service conglomerate founded in 2006. Since the beginning, they’ve been working towards optimising food service businesses to run as efficiently as possible. They made a name for themselves in 2008 after acquiring Queen Marie’s Bakery, a small but well-liked bakery in Fort Worth. Following the acquisition, Queen Marie’s became a nationwide chain, with locations from Anchorage to Atlanta.  HappyCo Foods has recently expanded overseas and is actively acquiring businesses in Australia, Japan, and China.

HappyCo Foods understands that we need good food to be happy. Their mission is to make the dining experience as smooth and seamless as possible by improving efficiency in all areas of restaurant operations. Time and time again, they’ve showcased their prowess at taking small restaurants that barely turn a profit and transforming them into food service goliaths.

What this Means for Feline Good

HappyCo Foods believes in leveraging cutting-edge technology to revolutionise the service industry. Within the next few months, Feline Good Café will be rolling out a new automated ordering system and reducing the number of team members working the counter. These measures aim to reduce wait times and increase the efficiency of our food service department.

Additionally, HappyCo Foods is planning to scale back the rescue side of the business. While rescuing cats is certainly a noble cause, it doesn’t align with the business’s new direction. We’ll keep our current cats until they get find new homes, of course, but Feline Good will be reducing the number of rescues we take in so we can focus on the more lucrative aspects of the business.

HappyCo Foods plans to shift focus to selling a wider variety of beverages and expanding our merchandising efforts. This means the café be sourcing our ingredients from different vendors in the coming months. This will help the café keep up with the new items being added to the menu. Additionally, to keep up with increased merch production, HappyCo Foods plans to recruit WonderClone AI Studio as part of the arts team.

 About WonderClone AI Studio

WonderClone AI Studio is the newest cutting-edge technology that lets you create images, videos and even music with a simple prompt. Generate stunning artwork with a single word, image, or even your own voice.

WonderClone AI Studio is the most sustainable AI company that only consumes about 4.1 billion gallons of water annually, which is a total of 0.1 billion gallons less than other competitors. At this rate, it will be no time at all until AI pays off, and we can focus on giving the communities their water back. Isn’t that cat-tastic?   (Disclaimer: “Due to recent court rulings, you can’t copyright these images, but do worry, with enough money, I’m sure that will change in the future”).

Now that we have WonderClone AI Studio on our team, we no longer need to worry about waiting for our artists to finish their lovely drawings. These artists require the proper time and energy to be fed, paid for, and treated like human beings. Of course, we can’t afford that- so we have to part ways and give these artists a new shot at life! These artists are now free to spread their wings and find new employment in this rapidly growing AI world. We and our new partners wish them the best in their new endeavours!

With our introductions out of the way, this means the wait is over — you’ll be able to get merch of the newest cats as soon as they are available for adoption.

We’re proud of the community we’ve built at Feline Good Café — we wouldn’t leave it for anything. As much as our wallets would appreciate giving in to our corporate overlords, we still have cats to rescue, coffees to brew, quality human-made art to create, and good vibes to share, so we’re not going anywhere.

At Feline Good Café, we’re on a mission to help rescue cats find their fur-ever homes and bring back community-focused third places. Surrendering everything we’ve built to a corporate acquisition would go against everything we stand for. We don’t want things to be seamless, optimised, and sterile. We would much rather our business stay the way it is: homely, perhaps a bit chaotic, but full of life and community. In these modern times with people becoming increasingly isolated, it’s important that we foster community and welcome human experience to not replace it.
And of course, there’s no way we could leave any of our precious feline friends behind. We currently have over a dozen cats ready to find their furr-ever homes. If you’re interested in adopting a cat, or just want to get a coffee and some quality snuggles from our rescues, stop by our café for the purr-fect experience.

Also, unlike the mega corporations that are currently turning to everything for AI. We like to have a more human touch. Would a mega-corporation give you this? Check out our most recent blog post where we compare our rescue cats to iconic Medieval cat paintings
